José Vicente Cuxart passes away at 57

José Vicente Cuxart, who spent two seasons as a player at Valencia CF in the 1980s and was a key figure at the Ciudad Deportiva for many years, has passed away at the age of 57. A tireless worker who was passionate about youth football, he will be missed by all who knew him.
Friendly, sincere, humble, direct and organised, he was very close to some of the biggest names to feature in the first team. A detail of his class was how he would keep players' licenses from their younger days, so that he could then send them a reminder of their time at the VCF Academy should they debut for the senior squad.
Amongst those to coincide with him were José Luis Gayà, David Silva, Paco Alcácer, Isco Alarcón and Jordi Alba, when they lived in the residence at Paterna.
